Nile River

Royal Rhapsody Egypt cruises offer some of the most intimate Nile experiences available in the "Land of the Pharaohs."

About Royal Rhapsody

The M/S Royal Rhapsody is one of three mid-size cruise ships which traverse the legendary Nile River. Like its sister ships, Royal Orchid and Royal Serenade, Royal Rhapsody features larger than normal suites and outer cabins, all of which come with windows that face the water. There are no interior cabins on the Royal Rhapsody, which means you don't need to leave the comfort of your room to enjoy amazing views of the Nile and its historic landmarks.

Amenities

Each suite onboard the Royal Rhapsody comes equipped with:

  • Attached bathroom
  • Living room
  • Panoramic windows
  • Refrigerator
  • TV
  • Telephone

The Royal Rhapsody's four levels also house large lounges, a pool, multiple sun decks, plus a number of outstanding restaurants and bars.

Royal Rhapsody Egypt Cruises Packages

Royal Rhapsody Egypt cruises sail on the Nile River and offer detailed tours of the popular waterway's vast number of stunning attractions. Most of the voyages travel between Luxor and Aswan in southern Egypt and vary according to length. Some of the most popular Royal Rhapsody Nile River packages include:

  • Luxurious Luxor: This three-night, four-day cruise begins in Aswan City and sails on the Nile to Luxor. Along the way you will visit the picturesque Kom Ombo Temple and Edfu Temple, plus the popular West Bank of Luxor.
  • Amazing Aswan: The four-night, five-day package departs from Luxor and ends in Aswan. The itinerary is similar to the three-night cruise package except that you spend an extra day touring the East Bank of Luxor City, home to the awe-inspiring Karnak and Luxor Temples.
  • Extended Aswan: If you are looking to explore the Nile River in-depth, then consider taking Royal Rhapsody's seven-night, eight-day Luxor to Aswan voyage. In addition to visiting Luxor City and Edfu Temple, you will also stop in Dendara and tour the Dendara Temple.

All Royal Rhapsody Egypt cruise packages include breakfast, lunch and dinner. However, beverages cost extra, save for tea, coffee and juice.

Factors to Consider

March, August and December make up the Nile River's "high season." During those months, it may be nearly impossible to book a spot on an Egyptian river sailing. To ensure a reservation during the busy period it's best to plan ahead rather than waiting for last minute deals. In addition, you may have to pay a bit more when sailing during the peak season, as demand for spots on Egyptian cruises, including the Royal Rhapsody, outweigh the number of voyages offered.

Once you make your plans to take a cruise of Egypt, keep in mind that most sailings are done during the day. It is rare that vessels travel after dark. In addition, you should also consider that during the busiest travel periods boats may be required to wait while traveling through the lock on the Nile at Esna. Finally, since the Nile is often packed with cruise vessels, you may find your boat moored alongside a host of others. This may restrict your view of various sites and require you to cross several boats to reach the shore.
